From June 25-28, 2024, Aj. Fang Yuan and Aj. Simon Michael Jones from the School of Sinology at Mae Fah Luang University attended the academic seminar "Asia Educator Training" at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Sarawak, Malaysia. The seminar is part of the research project "Portable Conferencing Toolkits and Online Applications for Engaging Learning Experience Design in Higher Education Classrooms," funded by the ERASMUS+ EU grant. The event featured academic seminars and workshops to present research on hybrid teaching tools. Presentations were given by research teams from seven countries across Europe and Asia, including participants from both academia and the private sector in Denmark. The participating institutions were: Technical University of Denmark (DTU), Denmark An-Najah National University (ANNU), Palestine Mae Fah Luang University (MFU), Thailand Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia Aix-Marseille University (AMU), France Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Norway University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB), Bangladesh EdTech Denmark, Denmark (private company) uQualio, Denmark (private company) Each university identified the problems and needs specific to its context and developed prototypes of hybrid teaching tools. These tools were tested before the results were shared through academic seminars to benefit higher education teachers, the primary target group. The three-day event, held from June 25-27, 2024, had over 60 participants from various countries. The outcomes of this seminar are expected to enhance teaching and learning at Mae Fah Luang University.
