Programme’s Philosophy
The Bachelor of Arts programme in Chinese Language and Culture aims to produce graduates based on the theory of Cognitivism, which emphasises learning through cognitive processes. Learners take the lead in constructing their own knowledge and understanding, while instructors act as facilitators who design appropriate learning activities both inside and outside the classroom. The goal is to develop graduates who are proficient in Chinese communication through skills in listening, speaking, reading, writing, translation, and interpreting within diverse cultural contexts.

In addition, graduates will be able to explain, analyse, and distinguish key concepts, principles, and core content related to the Chinese language and culture. They will also be individuals of integrity, who demonstrate responsibility in assigned tasks, perform their duties with precision and care, and are capable of producing language-related outputs.
